Engie GEMS

Full-stack consultant · Global Energy Management

Engie's energy-management arm trades power and gas across European markets. I work on the internal tooling and the data platform behind it: the scheduling and filtering of long-running jobs, queries over large columnar datasets, and the domain rules that decide which volumes reach the market. Correctness is the whole job — a wrong number here is a real position on a real exchange.

Railnova

Frontend engineer · fleet telemetry platform

A modular platform that reads live telemetry off locomotives and predicts failures before they strand a train. I built features across the three products — fleet monitoring, diagnostics, prediction — working from written pitches under Shape Up: read the problem, propose the shape, ship it, then sit with the maintenance crews who actually use it.

Yuzzu

Analyst developer · quote-and-buy funnel

Yuzzu sells car, van, moto and home insurance directly to the public. I owned features and maintenance of the funnel through the site's rebuild — the whole path from a visitor's first question to a signed policy, where every extra field costs conversions and every wrong price costs more. I led design discussions and mentored the developers who joined after me.

How I work

I studied computer science at EPFC and ULB and taught myself the rest. The useful half of what I know came from maintaining software other people depended on — which is a different skill from writing it.

I'm most useful in the messy middle: a domain nobody has modelled properly yet, a codebase carrying eight years of decisions, a requirement that was never written down. My method is a loop — ask, define, refine, stay ready to be wrong. Most projects fail on the first step.

Outside work I train and compete in kickboxing and jujutsu. Same loop, fewer opinions.
